freesia 2

A native to South Africa, freesia is a perennial single or double blooming favorite.

Some of the various types of freesia have delightful fragrance while others are not so aromatic.

They range in colors from pale white, yellow and violet to more vibrant shades of fuchsia, red, orange and purple.

FARM FRESH: Our Freesia bulbs receive specific temperature treatments to produce optimal blooms – and ultimately – better lasting qualities. They are planted in rich warm soils where they mature into vigorous plants. At the precise time, the soil is cooled to encourage the development of buds. Freesia are harvested when a sliver of color is showing on the flower head, keeping the delicate petals safe during transport.
